Class Description
The purpose of this position is to provide high-quality mentoring and student support services to participants in the Strategic Student Initiatives (SSI).
Minimum RequirementsA bachelor's degree and one year of successful experience working with collegiate-level programs fostering retention is required. Demonstrated success working in higher education with diverse student populations. Must have experience working with adult learners providing mentoring, instruction, advising, or academic support services.
POSITIONS are located on the Essex and Catonsville campuses

- Mentor students by providing guidance, acting as a role model, and offering support to help them build academic skills, navigate challenges, and complete CCBC.
- Maintain a caseload of program participants by maintaining confidential student records and electronic files.
- Enhance student engagement by facilitating and coordinating programming that aligns with SSI's goals and foundational pillars.
- Monitor the academic and educational progress of program participants.
- Oversee the collection of quantitative and qualitative educational data related to program goals and objectives.
