Location:
Charlestown, Maryland, a 110‑acre continuing‑care retirement community in a suburb of Baltimore.
As a Nurse Educator (also known as the Staff Development Coordinator), you will coordinate onboarding of all new staff within Continuing Care (skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, and long‑term care) and provide clinical education to our employees. You will partner with clinical leaders and members of the interdisciplinary team to assist with professional development programs and orientation, ensuring that new and existing staff have the knowledge and skills they need to deliver high‑quality care.

- Collaborate with clinical leaders and interdisciplinary team members to provide in‑service training to new and existing employees.
- Coordinate designated non‑clinical sessions and clinical aspects of new general orientation as well as ongoing training for Continuing Care staff.
- Assist department directors in developing and presenting instruction tailored to adult learners.
- Oversee staff development plans and assist with the implementation of professional development programs.
- Identify monthly education trends and deliver ongoing education sessions as needed.
- Maintain and communicate staff development program calendars, create training agendas, and coordinate with vendors for certification.
- Maintain compliance records and provide monthly reports to managers and Directors of Nursing.
- Ensure all annual education, training, and documentation meet federal, state, and local regulations.
- Integrate and communicate the organization’s mission throughout all educational events.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement process.
Compensation: $95k–110k per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.
What You Will Need- Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the State Board of Examination of Nurses.
- CPR/First Aid training preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet and web applications, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
