Culinary Team - Prep Cook

• Make sure that all guests feel welcome & are given responsive, friendly, & courteous service always. Assistall guests & those serving guests as it pertains to all 818 Market food offerings

Ensure that all products are consistently prepared & served according to 818 Markets standard recipes,portioning, cooking, & serving standards

Communicate all needs & issues as they come up in our kitchen

Work with chefs to plan & price menu items. Help to establish portion sizes & help prepare standard recipe cards for all new and seasonal menu items

Assist in keeping all equipment clean & in excellent working condition & follow our preventative maintenance programs.

Responsible for cleaning & maintaining our kitchens & prep areas to the highest level

Responsible for assisting all Managers in preventing waste and driving consumer interest in ALL of our food products & 818 Market offerings

Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, and training programs for 818 Market.

Help fellow employees understand products, standards, & cooking techniques

Responsible for assisting in our day-to-day operations & the adherence to our 818 Market Mission for all aspects of our outlets

Fully understand & comply with all federal, state, county regulations that pertain to health, safety &labor requirements of the whole Market, all employees, & guests

Attends all required meetings and training classes

Qualifications:

• Passion for recycling and sustainable business practices
• Strong knowledge of store receiving, accounting, and distributions
• Great communications skills with ability to get along with everyone

Requirements:

• Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency with a high energy level
• Some knowledge of different meats, vegetables & fruits, and different cooking methods
• Some working knowledge of a standard kitchen
• Must be able to lift 50lb or more & be able to work on for feet for long shifts
• Must be able to work flexible schedule - including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Daily Schedule Multiple shifts available from 5:00 am to 2:00 am
