Location:

Catterick, DL9 3AD

Hours:

20 hours per week

Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday, working a mixture of shifts between 7:00am and 7:00pm (7:00am-11:00am, 11:00am-3:00pm, and 3:00pm-7:00pm)

Contract:

Part Time

Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team in Catterick. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and communication skills who enjoys working with people and providing first-class support within a busy environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and stakeholders
  • Becoming fully competent in bespoke military software applications
  • Managing telephone calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries professionally
  • Drafting emails and correspondence for both internal and external recipients
  • Monitoring and maintaining shared electronic mailboxes
  • Responding to routine queries and escalating more complex matters to line management when required
  • Providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office
  • Working independently and as part of a team to achieve operational objectives
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Delivering excellent customer service at all times
Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
  • Previous administration experience and a sound understanding of office processes
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Share Point
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively
  • Previous experience working within a military administrative environment is desirable but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

  • Must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Must be able to successfully pass security vetting
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DBS check
