An exciting opportunity has become available for an Agency Chef near Middlesborough, offering reliable hours, weekly pay, and a strong focus on work-life balance. This role suits a skilled Chef De Partie-level professional who enjoys high-volume service while working within a well-organised and supportive kitchen team.

Mixture of 05:30-13:00 and 11:00-18:30 shifts, including some weekends.

Experience working within a large-scale catering operation near Catterick, serving up to 1,000 covers, three times per day

Key responsibilities
In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining standards in a fast-paced kitchen, including:

Managing and running your designated kitchen section
Preparing and presenting dishes to required quality standards
Organising mise en place to support smooth service
Supervising and training junior kitchen staff
Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
Monitoring stock levels, controlling portions, and reducing waste
Working closely with the team to ensure consistency and efficiency

What we're looking for
We're looking for a reliable and organised professional with:

Strong cooking skills at Chef De Partie level or equivalent
Consistency and attention to detail in presentation and quality
Good time management and the ability to work under pressure
Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Leadership skills to support and guide junior team members
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Excellent organisational skills.
