• Direct and supervise patient care operations of the unit on a shift basis.
• Manage staffing, assignments, and patient flow, ensuring acuity, skill set, and workload match staffing levels.
• Serve as unit patient‑flow coordinator, facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Lead safety, quality, and compliance initiatives, monitoring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain positive relationships and provide the best patient care.
• Engage in shared governance, performance improvement projects, and budget planning for unit activity.
• Model clinical practice, promote evidence‑based nursing, and mentor staff.

• BSN or equivalent nursing degree from an accredited school
• Current state of Arizona RN license
• Minimum five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
• Superior interpersonal, communication, and critical‑thinking skills
• Experience with acute care units (ER, ICU, L&D, PACU, etc.) and related certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as required
• Experience managing staff or leading a unit preferred

• BSN
• Two (2) years supervisory experience in nursing management
