Chief Executive Officer | Vistar Eye Center Lead the Next Chapter of a Century-Long Tradition in Eye Care Vistar Eye Center, the leading eye care provider in Southwest Virginia, is seeking an accomplished Chief Executive Officer to guide the continued growth of our thriving, private multi-sub-specialty practice. With 20 ophthalmologists, 11 optometrists, and approximately 400 employees across the Roanoke Valley and Southwest Virginia, Vistar combines the depth of a large organization with a longstanding commitment to personalized patient care. Our fellowship-trained physicians and surgeons provide specialized care in cataracts, glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, retina, cornea, and oculofacial plastic surgery. Comprehensive optometry services, extensive optical and contact lens departments, LASIK services, and a growing network of associated ophthalmic ambulatory surgery centers further support our integrated approach to care.

Our next CEO will work closely with physician leadership to advance strategic growth, strengthen operational performance, and support the people who make our care possible. CEO Responsibilities Guide strategic growth. Evaluate business opportunities, anticipate industry and market trends, and develop partnerships that advance Vistar’s mission and strengthen its position in the region.

Partner with physician leadership. Work closely with the Managing Partner, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors to set priorities, make informed decisions, and translate strategic goals into measurable results.

Lead operational excellence. Strengthen organizational systems, communication, and processes to improve efficiency, support exceptional patient care, and deliver consistent performance across locations.
