Join Adapt Health in delivering home medical equipment solutions that empower patients to live fully  Medical Equipment Technician – Delivery Driver is a full‑time role combining safe delivery, equipment setup, and customer education at patients’ homes, long‑term care facilities, or clinics.

• Develop and maintain a current knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable governmental regulations.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Educate customers on proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Complete required documentation after equipment setup, delivery or pickup.
• Assist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
• Process all orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Promote services and products to referral sources in the community as appropriate.
• Document reimbursement information to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment and services.
• Assist with implementation of the quality improvement program in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled visits to customers.
• Safely drive and maintain the company vehicle.
• Perform patient assessment and re‑assessment for patient care.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required.
• Report equipment hazards and product incidents as required by company policies and procedures.
• Assume on‑call responsibilities during non‑business hours, per company policy.
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
• Complete required compliance training and other educational programs.
• Maintain compliance with Adapt Health’s Compliance Program.
• Clean equipment when assigned or during downtime, following Branch Maintenance and Cleaning Guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Entry‑level sales or customer service background essential.
• One (1) year of Military, delivery driver with sales component, or health care technician experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two (2) years of related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.

• Lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment and supplies (stretch, bend, stoop, crouch).
• Subject to long periods of sitting and driving.
• Work environment may be stressful at times due to fluctuating activities and workload.
• May be exposed to unsanitary conditions in some home settings.
• May encounter hazardous materials, loud noise, extreme heat/cold, and contact with airborne or blood borne pathogens.
• May be exposed to high‑crime areas within the service community.
• Drive independently and travel as needed.
• May interact with angry or irate customers.
• Access patients’ residences without assistance.
• Maintain mental alertness to perform essential functions.
• Communicate verbally and written with empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy.
