Night Youth Mentor – Lava Heights Academy, Toquerville, Utah

Lava Heights Academy is a residential treatment program that provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for vulnerable young women who are referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies both locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness and violence. They graduate from Lava Heights Academy as educated young women who have overcome challenges and have demonstrated making healthy choices for themselves and for their future.

As a Youth Mentor, you’ll provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for the youth in our program and create an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the students. You’ll monitor and document student behaviors and activities, participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities, and work in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each student’s treatment plan.

• 7:30 pm to 8:30 am with 1 hour break (12 hour Shift)
• Long Week:
  Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Short Week:
  Wednesday, Thursday

• Pay: $18.00 to $19.38 per hour depending on experience and education
• $1,000 Sign On Bonus! $500 paid at 3 months of employment and $500 paid at 6 months.
• Medical, Dental, Vision and company paid Life Insurance within 90 days, and 401k match of up to 6% after 1 year of employment.
• Paid Time Off that can be used as soon as it accrues and more!

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 21 years old
• Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical and TB screening
