Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Mentor at Lava Heights Academy in Toquerville, Utah
.

• $1,000 Sign On Bonus
• $500 at 3 months of employment
• $500 at 6 months of employment

Lava Heights Academy is a residential treatment program that provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for vulnerable young women who are referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies both locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness and violence. They graduate from Lava Heights Academy as educated young women who have overcome challenges and have demonstrated making healthy choices for themselves and for the future.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.38 per hour depending on experience and education.

What you will do:

As a Youth Mentor, you’ll provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for the youth in our program and create an atmosphere supportive of the students’ needs. You’ll monitor and document student behaviors and activities, participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities, and collaborate with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each student’s treatment plan.

To be considered you should:
Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent, be at least 21 years old, and be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical and TB screening.

Schedule:

7:00 am to 8:00 pm or 8:00 am to 9:00 pm with 1 hour break (12‑hour Shift).

Long Week you work:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Short Week you work:
Wednesday, Thursday
