The Tony‑award‑winning UTAH SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL, a professional theater company in residence at Southern Utah University, is accepting applications for Production Staff for the 2026 season. The festival produces an eight‑show repertory season and three Green Shows across four venues in the summer/fall of each year. Contract dates vary by position. Most build contracts begin April/May and end June/July. Run contracts begin in May/June and end September/October.

- Carpenter Apprentice/Stage Crew: work begins late April and continues through mid September or mid October depending on the assignment.
- Stage crew work begins late May and continues through mid September or mid October depending on the assignment.
- Participates in the construction and load‑in of scenic elements for assigned productions.
- Responsible for running, changeover, and maintenance of scenery for assigned productions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs. for 50 feet unassisted.
- Must be able to use ladders over 6' as part of daily tasks.
- Knowledge of proper and safe use of typical shop tools and equipment, wood and steel construction techniques or other related technical theater fields.
- Prior experience in technical theater.
- Documents needed: 3 professional references.
Position is contingent on funding.
