North Elementary School is seeking a Part Time Level II Special Education Paraprofessional to work 15 hours per week. This position will remain open until filled.
The Part Time Level II Special Education Paraprofessional is under the direction of the Special Education Teacher to provide education and related services to students with disabilities. The position will require the incumbent to lift and support students, change protective clothing, implement behavior management plans, operate adaptive equipment (wheelchairs, etc.), and communicate effectively with students and staff.

Responsibilities- Provides instructional support to students and student groups to reinforce and follow up learning activity.
- Observes and records behavior patterns and uses appropriate techniques to reinforce acceptable behavior.
- Assists certified educators with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
- Responsible for procedures related to physical and medical needs.
- Assists students with self-care techniques, including toilet training, bathing and personal cleanliness; may also assist in diapering, feeding and other self‑help skills.
- Participates in the development, maintenance, and carrying out of classroom management systems.
- Guides students in working and interacting harmoniously with other students.
- Supervises students in all areas of the school.
- Operates various types of office equipment such as computers and copy machines.
- Monitors students inside and outside of the building during lunch hour.
- Maintains regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance.
- Requires basic computer knowledge; familiar with Google Docs and email. Willing to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
