Job Overview

Cedar Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar City, UT is a post‑acute care facility that offers long‑term care, short‑term care, and geriatric services. The center seeks a full‑time Occupational Therapy Assistant to support our in‑house rehabilitation program.

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or ADL and physical functioning disorders in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record; evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness.
• Modify services in relation to patient evaluation; refer to other service providers as needed based on outcomes.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries of services performed in accordance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

• Occupational Therapy license required.
• Open to therapists at all experience levels; new graduates are welcome.
