This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of store management experience. The trainee will be accountable for day‑to‑day store operations, lead and develop employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations. The role offers hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and store performance.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Train store associates to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, count cash drawers, merchandise, and enforce asset protection procedures.
  • Administer processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, systems, and reporting.
  • Analyze store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal‐setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Maintain accurate loan qualification and buying processes.
  • Complete assigned training tasks for self‑development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees about store mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform tasks for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain certification.
  • Extends outside the store for customer assistance as needed.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Flexibility to work multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to work 45+ hours per week; hours based on business needs.
  • Computer literate; experience with POS systems and office software.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and multi‑tasking skills.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

Commission incentive:
Store Manager Trainees can earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance.
