Tesla is seeking a Utility Field Service Technician to support our large-scale utility energy assets across the organization. The role involves troubleshooting, servicing, and upgrading stationary battery and medium to high voltage equipment. We seek self-motivated team players with a positive attitude, ready to work quickly to keep systems operational.

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as per service engineering directives, demonstrating high skill and patience
• Perform preventative maintenance on stationary battery systems to maintain warranty coverage
• Work safely on utility sites, maintaining a safety-focused approach
• Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic, and measuring equipment
• Develop and follow best practices for maintenance of Tesla Energy equipment
• Communicate effectively within the Tesla Energy service team, providing daily updates on work progress and issues
• Support outside your region and potentially internationally, with travel as needed

• Knowledge of NEC guidelines, NFPA 70E practices, CPR, and Low Voltage Rescue; SCADA experience is a plus
• Experience with electrical trades, power tools, electrical equipment, and meters; oscilloscopes are a plus
• Availability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time, work weekends and overtime
• Ability to work at heights, in extreme environments, and lift at least 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong computer skills, comfortable with Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools
