Lava Heights Academy is a residential treatment program that provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for vulnerable young women referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with histories of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness, and violence, and graduate as educated young women who have overcome challenges and made healthy choices for their future.

Pay: $18.00 to $19.38 per hour depending on experience and education.

What you will do: As a Youth Mentor, you’ll provide safety and around‑the‑clock supervision for the youth in our program and create an atmosphere that supports their needs. You will monitor and document student behaviors and activities, participate in and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities, and work in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet each student’s treatment plan goals.

To be considered you should: Have a High School Diploma or equivalent; be at least 21 years old; be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical, and TB screening.

Schedule: Monday through Friday (5 days a week), 6:30 am to 12:00 pm or 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm (5½ hours per day).
