Assistant Coach - Southern Utah University

Southern Utah University Women’s Volleyball is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Coach to join our staff and help elevate our program as we enter the Big Sky Conference in 2026. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success coaching at the collegiate or high-level club level, with a primary focus on developing hitters (pins and middles), enhancing offensive systems, and contributing to a competitive and positive team culture.

This position will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of program operations, including training, recruiting, scouting, academic support, and administrative responsibilities. We are building a program centered on growth, commitment, and competitive excellence, and are looking for a coach who wants to be part of that process.

• Bachelor’s degree or currently working on it.
• Previous coaching experience at the collegiate, high-level club, or professional playing/coaching level.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of hitting mechanics and offensive development.
• Ability to teach, communicate, and motivate student-athletes effectively.
• Strong organization and administrative skills.
• Commitment to NCAA, WAC (Soon To Be Big Sky), and University compliance standards.

• Experience coaching at the NCAA Division I or II level.
• Strong recruiting network and experience evaluating talent.
• Collegiate playing experience (high-level attackers strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with video analysis tools such as Data Volley, Hudl, Scout, or Volley metrics.
