What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Manage and grow business relationships with top retail sellers through strategic communication and planning
  • Coach and train retail sellers on products, programs, services, and technologies to influence farmer decisions
  • Execute strategies using tools like the Account Plan and Farmer by Farmer Plan while monitoring progress
  • Communicate the total acre value proposition to top retailers, including brand strategies and digital technologies
  • Coordinate with local manufacturer representatives and manage discretionary seed trials
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or a business-related field plus 2 years of industry or direct sales experience, or 7 years of equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of the agricultural business and its key drivers
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and formal presentation skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and lead change effectively
  • Solid experience with Microsoft products, virtual collaboration tools, and CRM software (Salesforce)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in agricultural product and crop expertise
  • Proven track record in managing projects and driving productivity
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience making direct farm-gate calls and building relationships with farmers
