Job Description: The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders seeks applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Speech‑Language Pathology, starting in August 2026. Primary teaching and clinical responsibilities will be in the area of speech‑language pathology, with preference given to fluency or pediatrics.
Duties include:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in the applicant’s area of specialization
- Clinical supervision
- Scholarly research activities
- Student advising and mentoring
- Service to the department and university
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or research‑based Ed.D. in speech‑language pathology or related field. Consideration will be given to ABDs with degree completion by time of appointment. CCC‑SLP credential and Iowa license eligibility also required.
Preferred Qualifications: Specialty area open, but specialization in fluency or pediatrics preferred.
