Sci Play is looking for a detail‑obsessed and driven QA Analyst to help uphold the highest standards of quality and reliability on its flagship mobile franchise, Jackpot Party Casino, based in our Cedar Falls, Iowa studio. This fully on‑site position requires a candidate who can develop and execute tests on new features, tools and game content to ensure they meet exacting standards, especially around high‑impact revenue‑sensitive areas.
Your role is that of an investigator, problem‑solver and steward of product integrity.
- Ensure all software is functioning as intended with an exceptional level of detail and accuracy.
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases across new and existing game content, tools, and platforms.
- Document and track issues using bug‑tracking software (e.g., JIRA) from discovery through resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, artists, and product managers to identify potential quality risks early.
- Reproduce and isolate complex issues to support engineering resolution efforts.
- Generate clear and concise QA documentation, reports, and feedback summaries.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively suggest process improvements.
- Own the quality of your assigned areas—functionality, usability, and player experience.
- 2+ years of professional experience in software or game testing.
- High attention to detail and accountability in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments.
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized, adaptable, and clear‑headed during shifting priorities or deadlines.
- Familiarity with bug‑tracking and test‑management tools (JIRA, Xray, Test Rail, etc.).
- Experience with mobile or web‑based games or apps.
- Experience in environments where mistakes have serious business consequences.
- Understanding of software development and QA methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and test prioritization.
- Thrive in high‑pressure, high‑precision environments.
- Treat QA not just as verification, but as craftsmanship.
