Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, store cleanliness, and delivering in-store and digital services. You will be empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Assist guests to solve specific needs and resolve concerns with a welcoming approach.
• Share information about current promos, store activities and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services across the store to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target.
• Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Explain and demonstrate features of the Target App, including Wallet, and guide guests on order pickup, drive-up, and online ordering.
• Assist with returns following policies and escalate to leadership as needed.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, and compliance with relevant laws (e.g., adult beverage laws).
• Perform other duties based on business needs.

• Accurate checkout operations, transactions, and support for cash office tasks as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds with or without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
• Comfort working in varying temperatures and conditions (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
