Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. You will work as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) with a flexible schedule based on store needs and shift availability.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and assist with their needs.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive Up (DU) orders and registry, and maintain a compliant, clean work area.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, adhering to food safety standards and company practices.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and explain available fulfillment services to guests.
• Explain and demonstrate features of the Target App and Wallet as needed.
• Handle returns by following register prompts and collaborating with leaders to solve guest needs.
• De-escalate situations as needed and recover the guest shopping experience while following policies.
• Maintain a safe, neat workspace and stock supplies during store hours to assist guests.
• Adhere to safety policies and report hazards; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws where applicable.
• Support cash office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
• Other duties based on business needs.

• You are flexible with working hours and shifts (nights, weekends, holidays, peak times).
• Effective communication, positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 44 pounds with or without assistance and to handle cash register operations.
• Willingness to participate in training and attendance requirements for on-demand shifts.
