• Communicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigations
• Maintain professional relationships with local authorities, law enforcement, and other retailers
• Collaborate to identify organized retail crime threats
• Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers
• Observe customers and associates for potential theft or fraud and act accordingly
• Conduct surveillance, apprehend suspects, and maintain all records per company standards
• Monitor CCTV, conduct on‑site interviews, and maintain knowledge of equipment
• Monitor store compliance with theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls

• Mitigate security risks to provide a safer environment for employees and customers
• Assist customers, visitors, and vendors in locating staff and accessing facilities
• Tag property brought into stores and manage essential equipment
• Perform floor and exterior walks to ensure safety and security
• Complete monthly safety reports

• Assist with vehicle breakdowns, lock‑outs, and cart retrieval
• React to shoplifting, medical emergencies, and inclement weather
• Work a schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

• High school diploma, GED, or college graduate preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• 2–3 years of loss prevention experience preferred
• CPR and OC (pepper spray) certification or willingness to obtain

• Approach tasks with energy, urgency, and respect for Scheels
• Demonstrate teaching readiness and adaptability to change
• Show integrity, dedication, and a genuine interest in helping others

• Maintain professional grooming and attire in alignment with Scheels standards
• Deliver work with pride, ownership, and timely deadlines

• High School Diploma, GED; college degree preferred
• Proven communication and organizational skills
• Prior loss prevention experience (2–3 years) preferred
• CPR and OC certification or willingness to obtain

Night, weekend, and early morning shifts as required by business needs.

Must sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Exert 20–100 pounds of force depending on task.
