• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring floor and stock room readiness for the business day.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Open the back door of the store for deliveries.

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.

• Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on release day and in reverse logistics (e.g., 1506, returns, empty package).
• Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sales merchandise; complete resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities across basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
• Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed with team members.
• Handle basic department pricing and make daily price changes, ensuring correct signage and compliance with local regulations.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as needed.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and requesting repairs as required.
• Separate food items (e.g., raw foods from pre‑cooked) and place products per policy, using first‑in, first‑out for consumables.
• Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws on regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
• Check bags of team members before leaving the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the Manager.

• Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is not present.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
