Hybrid Work OptionsThis position may report to either our Johnson City Headquarters or our Transmission Offices in Cedar Park, TX depending on home location. Travel between the two locations will periodically be required.
Compensation$113,600 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits
* Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
Position SummaryThis position is responsible for construction management of transmission line and substation construction projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Provide on‑site construction oversight for the transmission and substation portfolio and serve as the lead owner representative throughout all phases of construction.
- Lead, guide and direct construction activities to ensure projects are properly constructed.
- Serve as a mentor or coach to staff across the organization and provide construction technical support for all transmission and substation projects.
- Provide construction management services to ensure key milestones are met and coordinated with other PEC departments.
- Develop and report on construction schedules.
- Support specification and documentation of PEC design standards and material standards based on construction observations.
- Review transmission and substation designs throughout the design phase and prior to construction to provide construction feasibility feedback and be familiar with the project design, specification, material, and outage requirements.
- Support department engineers and project managers in project scope and schedule development.
- Assist the project manager in providing input to contract bid proposals and bid evaluations.
- Provide input regarding modifications, change orders and other impacts on projects and coordinate with the project manager to revise scope, schedule and budget as necessary.
- Ensure contract compliance with PEC specifications, standards, and industry practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR Twelve years of job‑related experience.
- Directly related experience may substitute for education.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
