This role involves supporting the design and operations of vehicle fluid systems on a launch vehicle. The engineer will focus on initial design phases or operational support, depending on the team's needs. Key responsibilities include developing system concepts, conducting system-level analyses, and ensuring the readiness and safety of fluid systems during tests and launches.

• Design fluid systems by creating PNIDs/P&IDs, CAD routing, and network-level flow models.
• Perform system-level analyses using GFSSP and AFT tools, validate pressurization and flow with Python-based vehicle models and mission profiles.
• Support integration and manufacturing by reviewing drawings, resolving non-conformances, and ensuring quality.
• Prepare and execute test and launch configurations; monitor console for go/no-go and off-nominal conditions.
• Contribute to the development and standardization of test and launch operations procedures.
• Drive consistency and process improvements across design and operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in propulsion systems and mechanical design.
• Proficiency in analysis tools such as CAD, FEA, CFD, MATLAB, and Python.
• Strong communication skills for cross-departmental interactions.

• Experience in network flow analysis at the system level.
• Ability to model full fluid networks with valves, regulators, and components.
• Fluency in Python for vehicle modeling.
• Understanding of fluids fundamentals and applied equations.
• Awareness of CFD (ANSYS Fluent) as a complementary skill.

The position is based fully onsite at the Briggs Location in Bertram, TX, with occasional travel to the Cedar Park office as needed.

Contract position based out of Cedar Park, TX.

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $72.00/hr.
