Location: Cedar Park, TX or Milford, OH
Pay Rate: $45–$55/hour
Our client is a forward-thinking innovator in advanced mobility and energy systems, committed to delivering sustainable and efficient engineering solutions. They are expanding their product development team and looking for a Mechanical Designer to play a key role in shaping next-generation propulsion systems. This is a full-time opportunity offering hands‑on involvement with complex engine designs and opportunities to work on cutting‑edge technologies in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.
Responsibilities- Collaborating with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to define components that meet technical and customer requirements.
- Developing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for parts, modules, and assemblies using Siemens NX and Teamcenter in a linked model environment.
- Applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles to ensure accurate fits, clearances, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Supporting multiple projects simultaneously, meeting cost, quality, and schedule expectations while participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Managing design documentation for secured government programs, adhering to access protocols and special security requirements.
- At least 5 years of experience in a CAD or product definition role, or an associate’s degree in drafting.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX and working knowledge of Teamcenter.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) and mechanical design best practices.
- Familiarity with 3D printing software (EOSPRINT, Concept Laser WRX) and additive manufacturing processes.
- Experience with NX surfacing or mechanical routing is a plus.
