Overview
US Oncology Network is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Texas Oncology in Cedar Park, Texas. This full‑time position supports the Medical Oncology Department at our 1401 Medical Parkway, Building C clinic, with weekly travel to Leander (Mon, Wed, Fri). Typical work week:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Position may be Level 1, 2 or Senior, based on relevant experience.
Location:
Austin, TX. Salary: $66,200 – $93,750.
Essential duties (including but not limited to):
- Greet patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and professionally; check in patients and inform clinical staff of arrival.
- Provide and explain paperwork to patients before examination; collect, proof for completeness, and file forms; update demographic and insurance information in the system; collect copays and balances; provide receipt.
- Answer, screen, and respond to routine questions, routing to appropriate personnel or taking thorough messages; page clinic personnel as appropriate; communicate messages accurately and timely according to procedures.
- Check patients out after examination; schedule follow‑up appointments according to physician/office guidelines; supply patients with appointment details (time, location, directions, instructions).
- Record patient cancellations and missed appointments; reschedule and notify appropriate staff; make notes in patient chart.
- Provide general administrative support by filing charts and forms; maintain lobby area neat and orderly; maintain legible supply of forms and office supplies required for daily activities.
- Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines regarding patient records.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned, including typing memos and forms.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some receptionist or office experience preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft (Outlook, Office Word, and Excel) required.
- Must successfully complete required e‑learning courses within 90 days of occupation.
- At least eighteen (18) months front‑medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required.
- Knowledge of this practice’s personnel, daily routines, and scheduling a plus.
- At least five (5) years front‑medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required.
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, occasionally stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds. Requires vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges.
