Sr. Hadoop Developer

• 5+ years of experience with Hadoop development and implementation
• Good knowledge of Hadoop Architecture and HDFS
• Proven understanding of Horton Works Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Storm
• Ability to write Map Reduce jobs
• Hands-on experience with HiveQL
• Ability to write Pig Latin scripts
• Managing and deploying HBase
• Parallel distributed processing based on the Map Reduce paradigm with Apache Spark
• Experience with Java and shell scripting
• Experience with Jenkins for Continuous Integration
• Good knowledge of back-end programming, specifically Java, JS, Node.js, and OOAD
• Experience writing to network-based APIs - preferably REST/JSON or XML/SOAP
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, applied to the Big Data domain
• Strong experience of deployments and administration in Linux/Unix environments

• Knowledge of installation and configuring Hadoop-based monitoring tools (Nagios/Ganglia) is a plus
• Loading from disparate data sets - Familiarity with data loading tools like Flume, Sqoop
• Familiarity with the Java ecosystem and enterprise offerings, including debugging and profiling tools (jconsole), logging and monitoring tools (log4j, JMX)
