The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking an Operations Director for our Camp Twin Lakes in Cedar Park, Texas.
Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Twin Lakes YMCA Executive Director, the Operations Director will plan and deliver high-quality off‑season groups and retreats services, food service management, and retail experiences that enhance participant engagement and support the overall success of the branch.
Qualifications- Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Business Management, Education, Child Development, a related field, or equivalent.
- Highly motivated, organized, personable, enthusiastic with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Five or more years of experience supervising or directing programs as a program and/or center director preferred.
- YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification preferred.
- Adaptable, flexible, and able to work periodic weekends and non‑business hour days.
- Lead the Annual Giving campaign and other fundraising initiatives.
- Model the YMCA core values—Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility; implement character development and core values in all programs and operations.
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
The ideal candidate, with direct reports, will be responsible for program growth in the following areas:
Off‑Season Groups and RetreatsProvide strategic leadership for established off‑season groups and retreats programs while maintaining the current book of business and creating positive experiences to generate new business.
Food ServiceDevelop and maintain cost‑effective meal operations by establishing average meal costs and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Sky Trail Concession and Trading PostOversee ordering, inventory, and merchandising for concessions and retail spaces to elevate the experience.
Duties Include, But Not Limited To- Program operations at the branch and additional locations.
- Program development and supervision.
- Staff supervision, hiring, training, coaching, and ensuring safe operations.
- Work with Core Groups to determine best practices and ensure standards are met.
- Adventure programming on rock wall; ACCT certification preferred.
- Experience with culinary services; food manager certification preferred.
- Balanced budget and managing planned/forecasted growth in program departments.
- Staff training and certification planning.
- Program development and growth.
