NOV is seeking a Quality Inspector with strong mechanical tool inspection knowledge to inspect machined parts. The Inspector will create non-conformance reports as needed. The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of inspection and quality control operations of a visual, dimensional, and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or compiling appropriate documentation as required. • Perform inspections on components.
• Perform source inspections at facilities.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
• Review inspection records received for compliance.
• Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
• Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) for nonconforming parts.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

• Perform in-process, final and receiving inspection, and work with inspectors and manufacturing employees in other inspection areas. Inspections are made against drawing, specification and/or instructions. Accountable for product/process incoming and/or final inspection activities required for purchased and manufactured parts, respectively, and processes.
• Responsible for the proper care of all company tools and measuring equipment before, during and after use.
• Ensure that all gages are in calibration, clean and free of rust, as well as in good working conditions at all times before use and traceable to/from their assigned storage location.
• Ensure that all records are kept accurately updated according to established procedures.
• Identify discrepancies and prepare non-conformity reports.
• Observe safety regulations, wear all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to supervisors.

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent, required.
• 5-years related experience and/or training, required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, required.
• Must be proficient with mechanical inspection tools and techniques.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening, required.
• Able to perform physically demanding work—standing, bending, lifting 25 lbs. regularly.
• Must be physically fit to perform inspection work for extended periods of time that may involve sitting, bending, stooping, standing, and repetitive arm, shoulder, and hand movements.
• Must demonstrate good work ethics in attendance, dependability, orderliness, and teamwork.
• Experience measuring API and/or ACME threads is preferred.
• ASQ certification (inspector) preferred.

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
• Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 40 pounds.
• Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.
• Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
• Standing 65% of the time.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
