Location/Remote: Onsite in Cedar Park, TX (i.e., 5 days onsite/week)

Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent / Direct Hire

Compensation: Up to $35/hour (equivalent to ~$72k annually, assuming no overtime)

We're looking for an Electrical Assembly Technician to join our team in Cedar Park, Texas. If you have strong wiring experience, enjoy hands-on electrical/mechanical assembly, and thrive in a structured build environment, this could be an excellent fit.

In this role, you'll build, terminate, test, and inspect low-voltage wiring harnesses used in power-generation applications. You'll work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to support prototype builds and scaled manufacturing. Candidates with wiring harness, cable assembly, electrical assembly, or electro-mechanical experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of hands-on experience in wiring harness assembly, cable assembly, electrical assembly, or electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, pinout drawings, blueprints, and engineering plans.
  • Experience with wiring tasks such as crimping, stripping, terminating, and splicing wires.
  • Experience installing connectors, terminals, boots, heat-shrink, and labels.
  • Experience routing and bundling wires using loom, braid, sleeving, clamps, or tie wraps.
  • Hands-on soldering experience (PCB, SMT, or wiring-level soldering).
  • Experience performing basic electrical testing (continuity checks, polarity checks, multimeter use).
  • Ability to follow build instructions, job travelers, BOMs, and revision-controlled documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality mindset, and reliability.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test is required.

Nice-to-Haves

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 or J-STD-001 certification
  • Experience with generator sets, industrial equipment, or power systems
  • Experience in NPI, pilot builds, or prototype environments
  • Exposure to Lean/5S manufacturing principles
