Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical Unit position in Texas requiring a compact or TX RN license and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital medical-surgical unit split between typical med-surg and post-surgical overflow

• Patient population includes ortho, neuro, GI, urologic, podiatry, GYN, and bariatric surgery cases

• Expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6

• Night shift schedule is 18:45 to 07:15

• Primary responsibility is providing nursing care to the medical-surgical patient population

• The unit includes both medical and a wide array of post-surgical patients

• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate, subject to facility's radius rule

• COVID-19 vaccination is not required

• All positions are auto-offer

• Candidate must not be submitted to more than one Ascension position system wide
Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license verified with Nursys and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start

• Current AHA BLS certification required

• Minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience

• NIH Certification preferred

• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address

• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

• Two professional references required
