Foreman – Construction
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA & local job sites
Pay: Hourly – up to $27/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time
Home every night – no overnight travel required

Position SummaryThe Foreman is responsible for leading field crews and overseeing daily job‑site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This is a hands‑on leadership role that works closely with project management to keep work moving on schedule. All projects are local or regional — employees return home every night. No overnight travel is required.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise daily field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects
- Coordinate crew activities, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Ensure work is completed according to schedule, quality expectations, and safety requirements
- Perform hands‑on construction work as needed (concrete, carpentry, steel, or general contracting tasks)
- Promote and enforce job‑site safety policies
- Communicate daily progress, issues, and material needs to project leadership
- Track labor productivity and job‑site efficiency
- Train, mentor, and support crew members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- 3+ years of experience as a Foreman, Lead, or similar supervisory role
- Experience in commercial or industrial construction
- Preferred experience in one or more of the following:
- Concrete foundations and flatwork
- Carpentry
- Steel erection or metal buildings
- General contracting
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license
- Hourly pay up to $27/hour, based on experience
