UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. Our group specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the liver and digestive tract, including the stomach, duodenum, gallbladder, biliary tract, pancreas, small intestine and colon, liver, pancreas, and biliary system

Procedures that our team performs:

• Colonoscopy
• EGD (Upper Endoscopy)
• ERCP
• Sigmoidoscopy
• Breath Testing
• Capsule Endoscopy
• Esophageal pH Study
• Esophageal Manometry

This position offers:

• Established Gastroenterology practice with 3 Physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers
• Provide coverage exclusively at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Hospital and the Surgery Center Cedar Rapids, IA.
• Future of a new large Endo suite
• Part of a large multi-specialty group, including primary care, providing a built-in referral base.
• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
• Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

• Full time position with a combination of inpatient, clinic, and procedures
• Shared call amongst Physicians:
  Quarterly: 1/4
• Prefer experience with ERCP

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
