Every child deserves a voice, you can be the professional to help them find it. Grant Wood AEA has Para educator positions available at the Linn County Detention Center located on Walford Rd, Cedar Rapids and Foundation 2 shelter school located at 3015 12th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids.
This position works 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hrs/wk). Starting hourly wage range: $17.50 - $18.55. Benefits include free single health, dental and vision insurance, IPERS retirement system, $25,000 free term life insurance and excellent leave benefits.
Job SummaryProvides assistance to licensed instructional or support staff in the delivery of Agency services. Under the direction of licensed staff, assists to provide instructional and behavioral programming which has been designed to meet each individual’s unique educational needs.
Qualifications- Two years of post high school training in a social science or education related field, or, alternatively, para educator certificate or two years para educator experience.
- Prior experience in a classroom setting.
