Special Education Para - Washington High School

Overview

Special Education Para - Washington High School role at Cedar Rapids Community School District. Under the supervision of professional staff, work with students individually or in small groups, assist with supervision, and support the educational process.

• Under direction of professional staff work with students individually or in group settings.
• Assist with supervision of students (classroom, cafeteria, halls, etc.).
• Implement behavior management strategies.
• May include riding the bus with students.
• May include working one to one with student to complete assigned tasks.
• Student supervision required.
• Ensuring student safety is required.
• Assist students with the necessary health assistance under the guidance of the nurses.
• Assist in the preparation of materials used in the educational process.
• Assist students at mealtime.
• Assist students in personal hygiene areas.
• Help get students to and from bus or car.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
