Principal Duties
- Under direction of professional staff, work with students individually or in group settings.
- Assist with supervision of students (classroom, cafeteria, halls, etc.).
- Implement behavior management strategies.
- May include riding the bus with students.
- May include working one-to-one with students to complete assigned tasks.
- Student supervision required.
- Ensuring student safety is required.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist students with necessary health assistance under guidance of nurses.
- Assist in preparation of materials used in the educational process.
- Assist students at mealtime.
- Assist students in personal hygiene areas.
- Help get students to and from bus or car.
Teacher Associates
Seven hours (7) per day
$17.10/hr
Two‑year post‑secondary education or Para educator certificate or qualifying score on NCRC assessment test required.
Position will not start until the 2025‑2026 school year.
Start date to be determined.

Noise level usually quiet. Position requires professional working hours that may extend beyond typical 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. workday. Employee works in various areas of the classroom, including desks, floor, standing, moving while supervising indoor and outdoor activities. Usually indoor temperatures but may work outdoors supervising students outside of the classroom. Additional duties may be assigned.
