Under direction of professional staff, work with students individually or in group settings.
- Assist with supervision of students (classroom, cafeteria, halls, etc.).
- Implement behavior management strategies.
- May include riding the bus with students.
- May include working one to one with student to complete assigned tasks.
- Student supervision required.
- Ensuring student safety is required.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist students with the necessary health assistance under the guidance of the nurses.
- Assist in the preparation of materials used in the educational process.
- Assist students at mealtime.
- Assist students in personal hygiene areas.
- Help get students to and from bus or car.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
- Assignments may vary based on building and district needs.

Teacher Associates
Seven hours (7) hours per day
$17.10/hr
Two year post secondary education or Para educator certificate or qualifying score on NCRC assessment test required.
EmploymentPosition won't start till school year

The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables and carts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus while supervising students and working with computers, written materials, reports, assessment data, etc.
