Responsibilities
  • Support and continually improve the Sub‑Zero Group, Inc. Quality System and integrate it within the Assembly Department of the Cedar Rapids facility.
  • Assist in the setup, launch, and ongoing support of new refrigeration assembly lines.
  • Implement quality systems at the facility in partnership with the Quality Manager, aligning with project schedules.
  • Identify problems, perform root‑cause analysis, and lead corrective and preventive actions using statistical tools.
  • Develop, maintain, and review key performance indicators.
  • Research, recommend, and implement new equipment, designs, gauging methods, or processes that improve product quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Review and update quality system requirements for new or revised products, including key control characteristic identification and documentation.
  • Collaborate with industrial and manufacturing engineering to qualify and audit new and key processes with data collection.
  • Support trial builds of product, gather feedback, and work with cross‑functional teams to establish continuous improvement plans.
  • Analyze failure rates, modes, and mechanisms to support robust product design.
  • Build a culture that identifies and solves quality problems, empowers employees at all levels, and promotes integrity and accountability.
  • Foster a collaborative, high‑energy environment that values positivity, resilience, and a growth mindset.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in data mining, data analysis, and process evaluation, as well as continuous improvement methodology. The role also requires coaching and engaging with production operators, supervisors, and technicians.
