Risk Consultant, Property Field Engineer - Michigan

Overview

Risk Consultant, Property Field Engineer - Michigan. AXA XL Risk Consulting provides risk engineering services for large property loss control and natural hazards evaluation in the Southeast region. This position supports Michigan clients and is fully remote, with travel anticipated to 20-25% and the candidate located in the state of Michigan.

• Review commercial property protection, including fire protection and water supply analysis
• Conduct onsite visits to assess property and Nat Cat exposures and develop detailed reports with recommendations for improvement
• Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations and special hazards
• Collaborate with AXA XL Risk Consulting engineers to serve clients
• Build credibility and client satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk engineering services
• Service the Southeast Region and support insured and non-insured clients

You will report to the Regional Engineering Leader.

• Experience with large property sites
• Robust working knowledge of NFPA Codes, FM Data Sheets, and local requirements
• Robust working knowledge of fire protection or willingness to learn
• Engineering or Science-based undergraduate degree;
  Chemical Engineering preferred
• Ability to apply industry experience to a broad range of customers and projects, consult effectively on property risk controls, and identify exposures/assess controls on complex risks
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical information to diverse audiences and influence decisions
• Self-starter with ability to manage schedule and resources; comfortable working remotely
• Strong collaboration skills to work with internal and external partners on projects
• Valid driver’s license

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 83,. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience and location.
