Software Engineer, Systems Engineer

Our client is a large American multinational company primarily providing avionics and information technology systems and services to governmental agencies and aircraft manufacturers.

Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for Systems and Software Engineering positions on the Rotary Wing FMS in the Flight Management Applications department located in Cedar Rapids, IA. This team is responsible for designing, coding and testing software that predicts flight capabilities(weight, balance, power, speed, fuel, etc) for rotary wing aircraft. The primary tasks for this position also includes requirements, test procedure and software development.

It requires strong communication and team working skills to integrate FMS performance functionality with other systems

Required:

• Bachelor s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline
• Experience with FMS flight planning, guidance and navigation functions and capabilities
• Strong understanding of software and systems engineering processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to quality, improvement and customer focus
• Expertise with the Python scripting language

Pay Rate: $45-51.20/hr.
