The Resilient Connectivity Products Engineering Department within Mission Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to help design and develop the next generation of high-performance communication systems.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the electronics packaging design and development of advanced communication products, including sophisticated software-defined radios and data links used across ground, airborne, and space platforms. Your work will directly support mission-critical technologies where performance, reliability, and innovation matter.

What You Will Do
  • Use and apply mechanical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, and support sustainment of communication products.

  • Creation and modification of mechanical design artifacts (models, drawings).

  • Support prototype build and verification and pre-qualification testing.

  • Work closely with a multidiscipline team to ensure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product's lifecycle, including supporting integration, testing and qualification of the final product.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD). Includes working knowledge of model creation, interrogation with a CAD tool (examples may include NX and/or Solidworks).

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and/or DO-160 environmental requirements.

  • Familiarity of electronic product packaging requirements.

  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, including planning, tracking, and managing hardware.
