2026 Engineering Co-op – Cedar Rapids

Co‑op assignments are typically 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday for 8 months. The Fall Co‑op spans from May 2026 to January 2027.
Manufacturing Engineering: The Cedar Rapids site is a new greenfield expansion to support SZG’s increasing demand and capacity expansion. This position will work cross‑functionally to support the start‑up of our new Cedar Rapids, IA facility in either Fabrication or Assembly Engineering.
You will be responsible for incorporating various Industrial and Mechanical Engineering principles in a manufacturing environment, performing analysis of procedures and design fixtures while working to increase productivity and efficiency throughout the plant to ensure safety and quality. You will work closely with various engineering groups to develop facility layouts through CAD, develop procedures for new equipment, and oversee installation of new equipment.
As part of the hiring process, this position requires a pre‑employment drug test.
