* Provide support to Engineering and Manufacturing in the Material and Component Engineering Laboratory.
* Perform testing to ensure devices meet specifications (electrical, mechanical and environmental criteria).
* Perform root cause failure analysis of electronic assemblies and components.
* Use a variety of electronic test equipment like oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, curve tracer, DVM's, LCR meter, network analyzers, etc.
* Use a variety of lab equipment such as low magnification and high magnification microscopes, cross-sectioning equipment, laser decap machine, X-ray, etc. Who you are:
* You have a strong background in electronics
* You have a strong desire to learn and develop new skills
* Enjoy hands on work Required Education, Experience, & Skills
* High School Diploma or AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for frequent interaction among engineers, peers and management.
* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
* Familiar with test equipment or lab equipment used for non-destructive and destructive analysis.
* US Citizen Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
* Past experience in failure analysis of electronic assemblies
* Past experience testing and analyzing electronic components and materials
* 5+ years of experience in a material evaluation or failure analysis laboratory
* Capable of obtaining a U.S. DoW Secret security clearance Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $67734 - $108375

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
