We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to Our Team as a Large Transaction Credit AnalystCredit underwriting at Great America is an exciting and challenging career that allows you to research and analyze businesses across a variety of situations and industries.
About This PositionWe are looking to add an experienced Credit Analyst to our team. The Large Transaction Credit Analyst role is responsible for underwriting moderately complex six‑figure and above commercial credit applications supporting our vendor partners selling equipment and other solutions into numerous markets across the United States.
The individual in this role will assess creditworthiness through in-depth industry and financial analysis, established through research utilizing sources of business credit, management profiles, general industry analysis, cash flow ability, collateral, and financial statements or tax returns as applicable, to make independent decisions or recommendations to extend credit based upon their evaluation. Our typical Large Transaction Credit Analyst could work on multiple credit applications each day, dependent on complexity.
The role provides a broad foundation for risk management within Great America, supporting career advancement as desired.
- Perform direct and thorough investigation and obtain relevant credit information to formulate credit decisions within established risk tolerances and prescribed time frames, providing written analysis and justification for the decision.
- Review and analyze financial statements or tax returns as applicable.
- Monitor changing economic and/or industry conditions and adjust underwriting appropriately.
- A bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills are a must as Great America takes pride in providing an excellent customer experience during every interaction.
- Excellent analytical ability, enjoy making independent decisions, and the ability to process information quickly.
- Understanding of financial statements is a plus.
- Experience in commercial lending required.
