Description As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications by our patients and for the operations and safety of the pharmacy, including compounding, dispensing, scheduling, purchasing, distribution, quality improvement and regulatory compliance. You may also serve as the Pharmacist‑in‑charge per state licensing requirements. Pharmacist in Charge

Per‑Diem

Cedar Rapids, IA

• B.S. or Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required or registered pharmacist license if foreign graduate
• Active registered pharmacy license in state(s) of practice and additional states as required without restrictions
• 1 year of hospital and home infusion therapy experience preferred
• Two years recent clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Thorough knowledge of infusion therapies preferred
• Recent inventory management experience preferred
• Accuracy in mathematical calculations including pharmacokinetic dosing preferred
• Knowledge of CPR+ software preferred

• Closely collaborate with the nursing organization to coordinate optimal care for the patients and service for the patient referral sources (e.g., hospitals, physician groups, etc.)
• Able to assume temporary leadership of the pharmacy with minimal supervision, as designated by the Pharmacist in Charge
• Checking and dispensing of medications in compliance with state and federal laws
• Maintain strong knowledge of Prompt Care’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure that they are applied consistently
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of pharmacy rules and government regulations and dispense accordingly
• Answer a variety of questions as presented by Prompt Care’s technicians, nurses, and salespeople
• Other duties assigned
