Job PositionDirector of Rehabilitation (PT, PTA, SLP, OT, or COTA) for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility.
Job SummaryResponsible for all aspects of therapy operations at the facility in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices of the company under the direction of the Regional Director of Operations.
Responsibilities of the Director of Rehabilitation- You will help provide the best possible therapy services to patients consistent with established standards of practice and company and department procedures.
- Oversight and management of all aspects of the therapy program in assigned facility/facilities.
- Knowledge of, and adherence to all regulatory requirements, company policies, procedures, processes and guidelines, job description, certification requirements, HIPAA, confidentiality standards and resident rights.
- Establishing facility-specific procedures in collaboration with the facility interdisciplinary team, and for training all therapy staff on established procedures.
- Ensuring all therapists provide therapy services in accordance with regulatory requirements, established standards of practice, Company policies and procedures, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
- Ensuring all therapists adhere to regulatory requirements and Company procedures regarding documentation and billing of therapy services.
- Communicating and interacting professionally and respectfully with patients and family members in attending to and meeting their requests.
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the position in the best interests of the organization.
- Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology.
- Must have active license (PT, PTA, OT, OTA, or SLP) in state(s) of practice.
- Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
- Experience with PDPM and MDS management preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal leadership and communication skills.
