Systems Administrator II

The Systems Administrator II is responsible for maintaining the operation and performance of multi-user computer systems, including direct coordination with network engineers. This role encompasses setting up and managing administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning performance, and installing system-wide software. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer service oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative IT environment.

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot multi-user computer systems.
• Collaborate with network engineers to support systems operations.
• Set up administrator and service accounts.
• Install and manage system-wide software.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation.
• Tune system performance to optimize user experience.
• Provide technical support and interact professionally with end-users.
• Learn and support specialized production software as needed.

Experience:

• 8+ years with High School diploma
• 4+ years with Associate's degree
• 2+ years with Bachelor’s degree
• 0+ years with Master’s degree

Skills:

• Active Directory administration
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
• Experience with Microsoft patching and updates
• PC and network troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Willingness and ability to learn proprietary or production-specific software
