OKTA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Okta Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands‑on expertise in implementing and managing Web Access Management solutions, with a focus on Okta and related technologies.

This role involves supporting access and identity management systems, integrating applications, and enabling secure Single Sign‑On (SSO) solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in authentication protocols, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, and enterprise access security strategies.

• Identify and implement Web Access Management solutions, emphasizing single sign‑on (SSO) security and cost efficiency.
• Support and maintain Web Access Management systems, including Okta Auth0 and IBM Secure Verify integrations.
• Provide architectural planning, automation guidance, and repeatable design patterns for identity solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of integration designs, SSO features, and technical specifications.
• Lead and manage small to medium infrastructure projects from planning through post-implementation.
• Monitor performance, apply patches, and drive process improvements for web services environments.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SSO, access management, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support enterprise‑level IAM solutions.
• Conduct training and knowledge transfer for internal teams when required.

• Proven experience with Okta Auth0 and IBM Secure Verify.
• Solid understanding of Web Services, Web/Application servers, Java, .NET, and cloud services.
• Proficient in scripting and automation (e.g., Power Shell, Ansible, Java, .NET).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise network security technologies (firewalls, IDS, IPS, NAC, WAF, proxies).
• Familiarity with Certificate/CA/PKI infrastructure and DNS, TCP/IP networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills.
• Understanding of access management principles and infrastructure needs for both cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

• Extensive experience in federation technologies using SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, REST, OAuth.
• Experience managing access systems for environments with 500K–1M external users.
• Familiarity with Okta Verified Identity and advanced SSO/federated identity configurations.
• Hands‑on experience with installing, upgrading, and configuring Okta Auth

• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, API integrations, and AWS Identity & Access Management.
• Experience in hybrid cloud environments and AWS Cloud principles.
• Background in Zero Trust network environments and risk‑based access models.
• Experience mentoring teams and converting complex technical concepts into accessible solutions.
